Hi, I'm Dr. Rose Papadopoullos
I am passionate about children and young people’s needs being understood and supported within education. I completed my Masters in Psychology in 2013 and my professional Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy) in 2019. I have completed further specialist training in attachment and developmental trauma (including Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy Level 2 – DDP- and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing – EMDR)
I now specialise in early developmental trauma, cognitive abilities and neurodiversity including autism and ADHD.
I am really passionate about children and young people’s needs being understood in education, and find that it is so important to bring a trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming lens to my work. I regularly work with schools and SENCOs to provide evidence to help inform EHCPs or other support in education.
I have experience working within the NHS and local charities, and am a registered provider for a number of local adoption agencies.
My Personal Journey
I also know that family life can be incredibly hard, especially when our children are struggling.
I am a proud parent to a neurodiverse child, and often find myself having to navigate and advocate for his needs in life and education. I know that the journey can often feel lonely, exhausting and confusing – it certainly has been for me. There are times when I feel like I am battling in a system that my child just doesn’t quite fit into.
What drives my passion for this work is knowing that my child – and yours – deserve an education that fits their needs. They deserve to feel important, accepted and worthy. They deserve to feel good about themselves and the skills they have. And I know that you as a parent deserve to feel that way too. I don’t believe that cognitive or psychological assessments are a magic wand, they won’t give you all of the answers, but when done really well these assessments can provide robust professional evidence of the things that your child needs – and deserves – to thrive.
Because of my journey, I bring a unique level of understanding and empathy to my work with families. I’m excited to help you navigate the challenges, find the right solutions, and celebrate your child’s successes in all of the adventures that lie ahead.

My Approach
I create a safe, supportive space where children feel comfortable and understood. I believe in collaboration and community, meaning I work closely with parents, schools and other professionals to make sure everyone has a deep understanding of the child’s needs.
I bring compassion, playfulness and curiosity into my work, and meet every child and family with complete acceptance of where they are at. There is nothing more rewarding than working with a family and seeing how much our work together helps them thrive.
